This will be released on May 6th on Pay Jay Productions. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/144860974&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_artwork=true\" height=\"166\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Dilla set out in 2002 to record an album collaborating with his favorite producers, and Supa Dave West was among them. The first two vocal tracks on this record are built around the same lyrics \u2013 \u201cGive \u2018Em What They Want\u201d produced by Dilla and \u201cThe Doe\u201d produced by West are typical of how he would re-record a track, changing his delivery to fit another producer\u2019s beat. (Another version of this track over a completely different Supa Dave West beat is still missing.)<\/p>\n<p>The last vocal track \u201cSo Far,\u201d also produced by Supa Dave West, will be familiar to some fans of MP3 bootlegs. On this record, it\u2019s mastered for the first time by Dave Cooley, who worked on <em>Donuts, The Shining<\/em> and <em>Ruff Draft<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to James &amp; Karla Murray for the cover photo, from their book <em>Store Front<\/em> (Ginko Press).
