Rhymesayers and the members of Felt 3 (Murs, Slug, & Aesop Rock) decided to give the Holidays a jump start with the release of their new album “A Tribute To Rosie Perez”. Yesterday in honor of the album’s release, the three gentlemen dressed up In Santa suits and took hi quality photos with 100s who can then turn them into Holiday greeting cards! Here’s the first flick of the day:

Received this message from Macsen Apollo (and incidentally, Peach has been directly touched by one of our peeps having to endure kidney failure & dialysis…it’s not pleasant).
____________
My good friend RasCue is a man who has given so much to the Hip Hop Community, both locally and internationally as an Emcee, DJ, Producer, Host, as well as a member of Various Blends, Urban Umpires, and Cali Agents (this cat does it alll). Well what most people don’t know is that he recently fell victim to a kidney disorder called Renal Chronic Kidney Disease. So RaCue has to go for long Dialysis treatments 3 times a week and is on 7 different medications to stay alive until they figure out a better way to treat him. But due to these sky rocketing hospital bills, he has been struggling to support himself and his young daughter through these rough times. It truly pains me to see him suffer like he has been these last few months.
Since we did a benefit tour in Oregon this summer, RasCue and I have become very close. The benefit helped a little bit, but ultimately was not enough to make ends meet. I see first hand how he is living and he should be doing much better and getting more support from the community. I talk to him everyday and pretty much know his life story. This cat has dedicated his whole life to Hip Hop and the culture that surrounds it with so much love. He should not be struggling at work just to spend all his money on bills and subsequently have no food on the table. I see his charts every week and his phosperous levels are rising because he is not eating the right foods. A man can’t live on bread and eggs alone and that’s pretty much how it’s been for my boy. It kills me to see that his benefit paypal account has been empty for 4 months since the benefit tour. He should not have to work on his dialysis treatment days just to squeeze in extra hours at his job, only to constantly be exhausted. And he should not have to work a share program to get food and wait for a ride to the food bank for bread, eggs and butter.
The truth is that RasCue does anything in his power to help those he can. In fact, he is the man responsible for hooking me up with the promoters in Europe that got me the gigs so I could go on tour. I am constantly humbled by his friendship and now it is my turn to have his back. He is the epitome of selflessness and would never directly ask for my help, so this is why I am asking for yours…
If you have worked with Rascue, if he has booked you a gig, or if he has simply been supportive of your endeavors like he has with mine then this plea for support is dedicated to you. And if you don’t know him personally, please know that I am asking with great reason for a small donation from one good soul to another who is in need of our help. I know if the shoe was on the other foot RasCue would do whatever he could do to help anyone out, so let’s help out one of our own during his time of need.
Rascue’s paypal: rastacuetip@gmail.com
If you can’t donate please share this note so It can spread like wild fires..
God Bless you and thank you in advance for your prayers and donations.

MAYER MEETS SNOOP
Jamie from ST had told us that Snoop looked up Mayer to see if he could remix one of his tracks (and then he would rap on one of Mayer’s songs), but it’s almost hard to believe it until you see it!
Mayer’s off touring in Europe, and also stopped by for an interview at NPR before he left.
