Dewey was the bass player for The Coup and on his way to rehearsal when he was senselessly shot on the freeway. He had toured with Lauryn Hill as well as Kev Choice Ensemble. Boots says, ” He was a joyful, beautiful person, and we are all missing him.”
Our deepest condolences to his family & friends.
Friends of ours are starting a new site called Fookubox to offer exclusive deals on brands you love. Fookubox is a fun, new concept that brings the excitement of a holiday surprise to every day shopping. You select the type of product, the size and price point and we select an item for you based on your style preferences and tastes. Influenced by the Japanese phenomena of fukubukuro or “lucky bags,” your purchase will remain a surprise until you open your box.
The next sale features items they hand picked from our site, and it starts today (Thursday, January 14th) at 9AM PST. Go to www.fookubox.com and use the access code “fuzzypeach2010” for more details. They’re still in the beta phase, so you’re one of the first people to know about it…
Thanks to Vinnie and R.I.P. to Ed Thigpen and Yabby You
A massive earthquake hit Haiti late Tuesday, killing hundreds of people and wounding many more. The quake, measuring 7 on the Richter scale, has caused widespread damage in and around the capital Port-au-Prince, leaving a large number of people homeless and hungry.
The people of Haiti need food assistance as quickly as possible to prevent hunger worsening the misery already caused by the disaster.
This is said to be Haiti’s worst quake in two centuries. Every hour we wait means more lives are at risk. Donate now.
