When they released the pre-order for Run The Jewels 2 (out Oct 27th), they added some jokey bonus items, one of which was a “Meow the Jewels” package which included RTJ re-recording the album with cat sounds. Someone started a “Meow The Jewels” Kickstarter to cover the $40,000 price tag, and yeah, it was just funded.
In case you would still like to contribute to the Kickstarter, there are still 11 days left.
I don’t know why we doubted that they’d reach (and surpass) the $45,000 goal…motherf******s are still bored….

Life is Living kicks off tonight with a conversation about the role of Hip Hop in fostering social movements.
There is a full day of events planned for tomorrow featuring a free breakfast from 10am-12pm, a kid’s zone, theNaked Beauty Zone, African Dance classes, Reflections of Healing Mural Project, a marketplace as well as performance from local artists.
This year’s main stage includes featured performances by: Amir Sulaiman, Young Gifted and Black, DJ Rashida; Kev Choice; 1 OAK; Netta B; Jennifer Johns; Antique; Ryan Nicole; Shock G of Digital Underground; Humpty Hump; DJ NuStylez; Peewee.
