REBEL8’s new capsule is with James Jirat Patradoon, a Sydney-based exhibiting artist and illustrator.  His high octane images combine 80s aesthetic with Japanese cult anime influences, conjuring surreal visions of a dystopian horror paradise. With a visual language informed by excessive amounts of unsupervised exposure to cartoons as a child, Jirat fell into illustration head first and early on. His frenetic practice has evolved to include installations, animation, music videos, and murals.  Check out pieces from the collection here.
