Chops has a new project that he’s been working on for the past 2 years featuring over 30 Asian & Asian American artists. He’s just about ready to put it out, but he’s doing it independently, so he has a kickstarter to help pay for production and manufacturing. The first single, “Keep On” features his group, Mountain Brothers, and Ann One.

He spent an afternoon signing out-of-print and rare items along with his back catalog (original pressings). Everything can be found here. He’s repressing Labor Days & Bazooka Tooth vinyl which will be out soon.
There were a very limited number of Adidas he did with Upper Playground. He wanted to give people a shot to get them, so they have been placed on Ebay, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to several causes he supports. The link to the auctions is here.
Aesop is currently working on the next Hail Mary Mallon record with Rob Sonic & Big Wiz. They’re posting progress on 900bats.com.

If we can brave the crazy traffic, we’re heading out the the Silly Pink Bunny Funeral tonight at 6pm (corner of Haight & Laguna, SF).
The SPB & murals on the corner will be destroyed as part of new development on the block. There are plans to replace the bunny with a new 10′ bronze bunny also in the Haight!

Can’t wait to see the finished Souls of Mischief documentary by Shomari Smith which recently had a pre-screening at the New Parkway. The 20th anniversary of 93 ’til Infinity is celebrated by the group & artists recount the influence of the album. Check for release updates on their FB page.
