Rick (the owner of Freshjive) says, “I’ve had this 45 single of a Caribbean style song called ‘Bicycle Seat’ since I was 14. It’s a track by an old punk band called Splodgenessabounds, headed by Max Splodge, that wrote some pretty fun novelty type tracks and were known for playing pranks. The song inspired our recent t shirt design called Life Is So Sweet, thus further inspiring our first Moving Pictures video.”
Head of Freshjive, Rick Klotz, talks about the new direction of the line and why they’re taking their name off of everything. Maybe a little bit “bite the hand that feeds you”, but I kinda just feel like we’re all getting old.

Reserve announces an exhibition of hand lettered posters by world renowned letterer and typographer, John Downer. John has been working with Freshjive on various t shirt designs, and the event coincides with the release of 4 more graphic t shirts and an in depth article on the Freshjive website.
During the evening, he will also be hand lettering anyone’s requested name tag while you watch!
