A friend was recently extolling the virtues of local Oaklandite, Mara Hruby.  She rocks a nice cover of D’angelo’s “Send it On” as well as songs from Stereolab, Bob Marley, and Jamiroquai on her release, “From Her Eyes”.  You can check out more of her music on her bandcamp page.  Incidentally, she’s also playing tonight at Yoshi’s Oakland…
