This Weekend! Joel Stones’ NYC record store Tropicalia in Furs will open again at Rappcats in Los Angeles for a 2-day popup shop for Record Store Day Weekend

This year’s collection will have a special focus on 45s, in addition to Joel’s usual Brazilian and worldly gems: “I will bring tons of Brazilian records, LPs, some jazz, funk, soul, prog, psych, garage, and thousands of 45s with good French, Turkish, African, American and beyond from my own private collection.”

Tropicalia in Furs, East Village NYC, was a record store like no other, a spot for rarities, psychedelic sounds and unparalleled chit chat. The shop closed in 2013.
